Repairs and restorations
In short
Has a product become defective and is it no longer covered by the return procedure? Then a repair or restoration may be possible in some cases.
Repairs at Window Cleaner Depot do not happen automatically. Depending on the type of product, this is done:
- through a return
- through a repair in the workshop
- or through a repair by appointment
For machines, installations and technical systems, prior consultation and an appointment are always required.
When to request a repair
A repair can be requested when:
- an item has become defective after it was put into use
- the return period has expired
- a repair seems technically possible
Repairs apply to:
- machines and equipment
- technical parts
- installations and systems
Consumables and parts subject to wear are generally not eligible for repair.
Requesting a repair
How you request a repair depends on the type of product.
Small or standard products
For smaller products or parts, you may be asked to:
- send the product back
- or bring it to the shop
Machines, installations & technical equipment
For machines and technical systems, a repair always happens by appointment. These products should not simply be sent in without prior consultation, or dropped off at the workshop unannounced.
Machines & technical equipment
Repairs to machines, reverse osmosis systems and technical systems take place:
- after a prior request
- by appointment only
- after a technical assessment
Depending on the machine, the repair can:
- take place in the workshop
- or be carried out on site
Why do you work by appointment?
Machines and installations require: technical preparation, availability of parts, scheduling of technicians. This is how we avoid unnecessary downtime and misunderstandings.
Large & heavy products
For large, heavy or fixed products, different conditions apply.
These products:
- cannot be sent by post as standard
- require adapted logistics
- are looked at individually
In some cases:
- collection can be arranged
- or you will be asked to bring the machine in
Repair on site or in our workshop
Depending on the type of defect and product, a repair can take place:
- in the Window Cleaner Depot workshop
- or on site at the customer
The choice depends on:
- the nature of the defect
- the size of the machine
- safety and feasibility
This is always agreed in advance. If a repair has to be carried out on site, this only happens with approval from Window Cleaner Depot and by appointment.
Can every repair be done on site?
No. Some repairs require specific tools or test setups and can only be carried out in the Window Cleaner Depot workshop.
Duration & follow-up of the repair
The duration of a repair depends on:
- the type of product
- the availability of parts
- the nature of the defect
There is no fixed repair time. As soon as there is more clarity, this is communicated.
In some cases:
- you receive a price indication in advance
- the repair only starts once you agree
A price indication is never binding. Underlying problems or complications can come up that could not be estimated at the start.
What if a repair is not possible?
It can happen that a repair:
- is not technically possible
- is not economically justified
- the machine falls outside the warranty
In that case we look at:
- whether replacement is possible
- whether the machine can be returned without repair
If it turns out during the repair that it cannot be carried out after all, the work performed is charged. The conditions for this are described on the Out-of-warranty repairs page.
