Everything hinges on your TDS value—the level of dissolved minerals in your water. Tap water in Belgium typically ranges from 250 to 450 ppm. As long as any residue remains, it will show up on the glass once it dries. An osmosis system removes the bulk of these minerals, while the resin handles the rest, bringing the level down to 000 ppm. Always use a TDS meter and replace your resin on time; you often won’t notice the resin is saturated until the customer calls. If you work frequently on facades or during the winter, a hot water system quickly pays for itself: hot water dissolves grease and film faster, and your brush glides more smoothly. Undecided between aluminum and carbon? Carbon is lighter and more rigid at height, whereas aluminum is more impact-resistant and cheaper to purchase.
